    On the 19th of May the Oslo Center is hosting its annual seminar, and the main speaker this year is Peace Prize Laureate, trade union organizer and former President in Poland, Lech Walesa.   • The Oslo Center in Somalia: workshops for aspiring political parties

    The Oslo Center has conducted successful follow-up workshops for political associations in Somalia. The training sessions focused on the role and responsibilities of political parties in a democratic society as well as international minimum standards of party statutes. In addition, the participants were trained in financial management and fundraising strategies where the principles of 'transparency' and 'accountability' were in focus. Read more

  • Aspiring political parties in Somalia went on a study trip to Kenya

    Representatives of aspiring political parties in Somalia participated in a successful study visit to Kenya organized by the Oslo Center. The aim of the study visit was to develop their knowledge and understanding of the Kenyan multiparty system and the role of political parties in a democratic society. Read more
